Note-Taking is an important life-long skill, applicable both in the academic and professional worlds.  Practice using various tools – both print and digital to hone your note-taking skills.

If you prefer to write out your notes by hand use either of the two note sheets below. The Note-sheet with subtopics is a tool to help you record only the information about the subtopic, rather than just copying everything you read. Your research notes should record only the information that you need to meet your assignment purpose or focus, not everything about a topic.
